On-line Program Registration
On-line Programs will be offered in both the Full Online course complete with Exam and in the Auditing for Certification Renewal format.
Registration for on-line courses will open approximately one month before the registration deadline date.
If you are working from home, it is advisable to provide your home address on your registration as this will facilitate getting your manual(s) in a timely fashion.
To participate in the course(s) you must have a computer which has a microphone, a camera and sufficient internet band with upload and download speeds to enable you to participate in your Virtual course.
The exam will be done virtually. The exam(s) must be completed within 48 hours after the course ends. You will be given 3 hours to complete the exam and the software will proctor your exam. You will be required to provide government issued photo ID at the beginning of your exam. If the software detects unusual activity during your 3-hour exam you will be advised to refrain from that activity.
The start and end times may vary between the different courses. The start time will be typically 8AM each day. If there are different start times these will be shown when you register. During the course you will be able to communicate with the Moderator and ask questions.
To register for any of these courses you must have your own IMSA account on the IMSA International website at www.imsasafety.org This will allow you to do all of things necessary to register and take your course.
If you have your IMSA number, you can set up your own account following the instructions in the document called Creation of your own IMSA account which is on the website. If you do not have an account or do not know your IMSA number, please contact the IMSA International office at 1-800-723-4672 and they will assist you.
To register go to www.imsasafety.org. For On-line Programs do not try to register through the Ontario Section website as this is not possible. Once you are in imsasafety.org go to the IMSA Certification tab and enter IMSA Online. Find the Ontario section offerings and enter the Event number. From there it will ask if you are registering for yourself or someone else. Registration for these courses will be $555USD for Members and $655USD for non-Members for the full on-line course and must be paid by a credit card. The Auditing for Certification Renewal fee is $100USD less. To be eligible for Member course fees you must have paid your membership fee for 2022. You must pay the course registration fee in advance of the course at the time of registration. The Ontario Section cannot send an Invoice. Manuals are included in the course fee for Ontario students.
